Eden Island Welcomes UAE Travelers in the New Year

Eden Island, the 56 hectare residential and commercial marina development with a selection of spectacular homes located in

the heart of Seychelles, is excited to welcome visitors throughout the New Year. As of 1st January, Seychelles has reported a 19% year-on-year increase in tourists from the UAE, and Eden Island has welcomed many of them in its luxury accommodation.

Seychelles is very easily accessible from the UAE with frequent flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar. In five hours, visitors can be whisked off to a tropical paradise. Seychelles is in the same time zone as the UAE, meaning no jet lag and no time lost when travelling. Eden Island is conveniently located just ten minutes from the airport and is linked to the mainland via a bridge. The capital city of Victoria is close by.

Eden Island luxury accommodation offers the opportunity for investors to earn a solid rental yield. To support this, the developer also offers two-year rental guarantees on selected properties. The rental option offers luxury self-catering accommodation for those looking for something different and it's the perfect location from which to explore the true natural beauty that these magnificent islands have to offer.

The warm, clear waters of the Indian Ocean are ideal for everything from windsurfing and diving to sailing and swimming. For the more adventurous there are hiking trails, horse riding and zip line activities available on Mahé. Eden Island also offers facilities to its residents and visitors, including four beaches, public swimming pools, indoor and outdoor children's play areas, a tennis court and fitness centre, shops, restaurants, banks and superyacht marina capability.

Investors in homes on Eden Island come from all around the world, with significant interest from the GCC. Overall there has been a 17% increase in Middle Eastern and Asian visitors from 2015 to 2016, with 43 different nationalities now own their unique part of Eden Island.

Eden Island is unique in the Seychelles as it is not a resort or a hotel. Eden Island is a property development where owners' families qualify to apply for residency of Seychelles. Homes are sold on a freehold title basis and the purchase of a new home is free of any transfer taxes and sanction fees. The exclusive properties are well-appointed and immaculately maintained, making them valuable assets for end users and investors alike, and excellent options for holidaymakers seeking comfortable, elegant accommodation with excellent amenities. 40% of total Seychelles foreign direct investment in 2014, and 24.5% in 2015 is a result of Eden Island's development. Located just 200 metres from the capital island of Mahé, the project commenced construction in 2006 and has an anticipated completion date next year.

Eden Island is built on a reclaimed coral reef, and the properties have a distinctly Seychelles design, with strong Creole and Asian influences, boasting large verandas and spacious open rooms, and overlook immaculate views of the ocean, mountains, forests, and other nearby islands with convenient access to moorings. Super yacht owners can also find berths for their vessels up to 100m in length in the international deep-water marina situated on the development. The main island of Mahé has recently erected a marine police satellite station to ensure safe navigation in the waters around Eden Island, therefore each resident with their designated boat docking is now offered even safer marine travel for their weekend's island hopping.
